packages here, there and everywhere

All my sent packages has been recieved, and according to the recipients, they liked their packages, so that´s all good. I´m still waiting for packages from the US and Belgium, and that elusive package from the Philippines - it´s almost four months now, and I´m pretty sure it´s gone, and I´ll never see it. Too bad!

I´ve got another package, to the UK, almost ready, just a thing or two left to add, which means that a package from the UK will arrive sometimes within these next weeks. Yay!

oooh, yeah!

Three packages came today! Glass bowl and books from Tradera, and my package from Belle in Canada! Yay! Belle´s package was filled with the prettiest fabric and notions: buttons, ribbons, fabric.... All very pretty, all very lovely, and I´m so happy for it! Thank you so much, Belle!

will I get lucky today?

What do you think, will I get lucky today? Will I find a nice little pile of packages when I get home? I´ve got some swap packages that should arrive anyday, and I´ve got two Tradera buys coming as well, two books ("Evas Kalender" from the 60s, I love those) and a white bowl in pressed glass. And my copy of SnB 2008 Calendar. Something should have arrived today.

I´m sending thre packages today, to Kellie in Kentucky, USA, Anneleen in Belgium and Jo in Shanghai, China (who´s currently in Singapore). I hope they will get them soon, and that they´ll like their packages!

treats from shanghai!

Yesterday I got my package from Jo in Shanghai, a big bag stuffed with the best and the cutest things you could ever imagine. A whole bunch of Hello Kitty stuff, where the best one is a gorgeaus bento box with wild west motif, cutlery and bag, a pencil case that´s the cutest (very cram cream-ish), cram cream deco tape, a very nice pink floral bag, and lots more! I loved unpacking everything, and I can´t wait to show it to y´all! Thanks Jo, it´s simply lovely!

(I borrowed the pic from Jo - sorry, Jo, hope it´s ok!)

showered with packages!

Sometimes when you ask, someone actually listen! Yesterday when I got home, I had three packages waiting, a book and some Kamio stationary from Tradera, and my last package from my sp8 pal in Canada - the most beautiful handspun white alpaca yarn, deliciously smelling soap, and some yummy, non-dairy chocolate with nuts, very, very nice - thank you Melanie!

I think it´s about time now!

I am waiting for three packages now (three!!), and I´m not getting any. The package from the Philippines has been on it´s way since March 30th (that´s 2½ month!), I really hope it will reach me, I would hate for it to be lost in mail. I also got two packages from Canada coming, one was shipped three weeks ago, one last week. I hope to have at least one of these packages in the mail when I get home! And, I´ve got two packages from Tradera on their way, one I hope to see today.

am I not the lucky one?

I got my package from Sara in Minnesota, USA, a big bag filled with lovely things: fabric, cram cream, handmade bag and gecco´d cards, Vogue Knitting, candy... Everything was sooo nice! Thank you so much, Sara!

I lost another 1,8 kilos last week, which makes it two digits (and -7,1 kilos in total!)! It feels like that what seperates the big girl from the fat girl, which means I´m only a big girl now, yay! And accomplishments must be rewarded, so I just sent for the last season of "The House of Eliott", it should be waiting for me when I get home from Jämtland, where I´m going tomorrow - my youngest sister is graduating, my stepmom turns 50, and another sister turns 22 - all party, all the time, that is. And I can fit into my smaller jeans! Hopefully, more packages will be waiting as well, unless they all comes tomorrow, but somehow, I don´t think so.

feels like a long time ago

since I got my last swap package. It´s not that long, Feb, or maybe March (ok, I just checked - it was April, not that long ago...), but it feels like it´s time for a package now. I´m waiting for my package from Karen in the Philippines to arrive, she sent it in the end of March, and said it could take one or two months, and now it´s been a month and a half. My last package from my SP8 spoiler seems to never arrive, I guess I have to forget about that. Belle in Canada is sending a package soon, and Yurippe in Italy says a package is coming. I can´t wait!

my LA-package

As I told you before, I got my package from Catherine in LA a couple of days ago, and here´s what it looks like:

16274-541

Monokuro Boo bag and wallet, chopsticks with a case, Japanese candy and biscuits and a couple of ear-pokers (!!!!!!!). Everything is so lovely, especially the bag (even my sister loves the bag, and she doesn´t like kawaii at all!).
Thank you so much, Catherine!

bag in a box!

And it was filled with goodies! My package from Catherine came this morning, it was so lovely, but I have to tell you more later - I´ve got to run! Thank you Catherine - you made my day!

I almost can´t believe it!

Quite unexpected, but much awaited, came my package from Jody yesterday, two months after she sent it from Singapore. It was a box, filled to the brim with Hello Kitty (bento stuff!), Cram Cream, stationary, candy... all the best Singapore can offer! Thanks Jody!

and a package from Charlene!

When I got home from work today, I found that a package from Charlene in California waited to be collected. You know I couldn´t wait until tomorrow, so I went back out to get it. And I´m so happy I did! I got three bento boxes (!), chocolate mushrooms and pine cones (or is it bamboo shoots?),  Cram Cream washclothes (two of them!) and deco tape, another deco tape, diy magazine, Hello Kitty stationary, pen and notebook, pink stationary... It was so many nice things, you wouldn´t believe it! Thanks Char!

na na na na na na....

I am waiting for four packages! I just wanted to tell you guys, that´s not expecting any...

packages crossing oceans and outbid on Kitty-chan

I´ve sent Jody in Singapore her package, she´s got it, and she says she like it (yay!). Take a look at what she got: http://celebrationguns.blogspot.com/2007/01/parcel-from-sweden_28.html. I´m still waiting for my package from her, but since I know it´s filled with great stuff, I don´t mind waiting (that much...).

I just mailed Yurippe her package too (I kinda lured her into swapping.... Shame on me!), she should have it in a couple of days, and hopefully I get lucky soon as well.

My bento package should arrive soon, maybe this week!

I bid on a vintage Hello Kitty box on ebay, and for long it looked like I would get it for peanuts, but it ended up being sold for 32 USD (but not to me), so that´s too bad. But wasn´t it cute, though:

swap pic!

Here´s the promised picture of the wonderfulness I got from Shikin:

16274-465

A whole bunch of kawaii stuff, all the way from Singapore. There´s some Cram Cream deco tape, Sanrio stationary and stickers, softies and a mini chest of drawers, just to mention a few. I really loved everything, thanks a lot Shikin!

do I dare to hope?

My muffin box from Yurippe is on it´s way (and it´s not one, it´s two!), my letter to her took two days, is it possible that my package takes two days also? Could I have it tomorrow? Fingers soooo crossed!

My package from Kellie in Kentucky should be here next week, I´m so excited to see what´s inside! Jody sent my package from Singapore too, but it should take a month or two, so I´m not expecting it for a while.

Next week I´ll shop some bento accessories on ebay, weee!

the blessing called swaps, and progress in my kitchen

I get my money this Friday, goody! I´ve got a package for Kellie in Kentucky to shop for and send in the next week or so, so that´s perfect. Oh, and a small thing called "paying the bills".

Jody in Singapore sends her package to me this week, fortunately I don´t have to send mine for another month, which gives me plenty of time to shop and sew for her. In a month is my second swap with Charlene in California also due, why give up on a good thing? And another month after that is my second swap with Catherine, also in California. I think I´ve got it all covered, and that means that April is open for a new swap. I´m so glad I´m back at GYS! Swaps really light  up my day, it´s fun to shop and to recieve, it´s great to get to know people all over the world, and I also get to know all the fun stuff that´s out there (mostly Japanese catch my eye, if anybody hadn´t noticed...). If it wasn´t for GYS, I wouldn´t know there were Cram Cream, Decole or Re-Ment for example, and that would make my life much less kawaii. And how would I live, if not kawaii?

After a couple of weeks break, I´m at it, painting cabinet doors in my kitchen again, I dared not to, while I had cats visiting, I didn´t want paw prints all over. But now, I just did the two remaining big doors, and there´s only four small doors and a drawer left, and then I´m done! Then, I need to start looking for cheap black and white vinyl/linoleum tiles for the floor, and I was thinking about covering my fridge/freezer with pink plastic, I saw it in a magazine yesterday, and it was very pretty. Actually, the whole kitchen was exactly what I want, only I´m doing the cabinet doors white, not mint, what do you think:

swap swamped... and I wasn´t supposed to...

I´ve got so many great things coming my way, from Singapore and the US, that I can hardly wait. But I´m not as clever as I thought I was, I thought I had spread the swaps all over spring, now I see that I only spread them all over February... I need to start to write things down. A calendar is exactly what I need, to keep track of my swaps, and of work, and of money. I´m going to Stockholm tomorrow, for the after-Christmas-sales, maybe I should look for a calendar of some sort...

I just bought a Hello Kitty deco tape, and I need to go to the bank tomorrow to pay it. It cost like $1.50, so that´s quite fair.

if you saw my previous post...

you know I couldn´t help myself any longer. I re-joined GimmeYourStuff. I could not stand being on the outside, looking in on something beautiful. And I miss getting great stuff in the mail. And my inspiration is back, I have ideas for swap packages again. But I will try to restrain myself, and not to do so many swaps, only one, or maybe two in a month, not many. Yay - I´m back!

anyone missed me? cause I´m back again!

You know I couldn´t resist going back to GYS! Such a wonderful thing, and me being left on the outside, I don´t think so.

I´m in Sweden, so I can offer Swedish stuff, like:

- Swedish candy and snacks
- magazines
- crafty stuff - yarn, beads, fabric, patterns...
- food - spices, Kalles kaviar, cookies, whatever that´s shippable.
- postcards, stationary, stamps...
- souvenirs - moose, Dala-horses, vikings...
- my homemade stuff - totebags, felties, purses - make a wish, and you may have it come true!
- or if you´d like something else!

I´ve got a HUGE crush on Japan, so anything Japanese, please! Like:

- Cram Cream
- childrens bento boxes and accessories
- craft magazines and books
- Sanrio, Q-Lia and San-x stuff, I love Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Deery Lou and Mamegoma
- stationary (cute cartoony ones - kawaii-style)
- deco-tape
- crafty stuff: fabric, buttons, trims, yarn....
- re-ment (yeah, I´ve discovered them too...)
- candy and chocolate, I don´t mind if it´s kawaii!
- or if you have any ideas, my taste is very kawaii.
- And a bit out of style: things with pin-up girls!
- I´m going to make a quilt, so I´d love cotton fabric with small prints (roses, flowers, dots, stripes, checks...) in mainly pink and white, and some pale green and turquois.
- home made things

Looking forward to a fun swap!

NOTE:  I´ve got all the swaps I want, and more, for this year, so I won´t take on any more! And I probably won´t do GYS next year, so ask one of the other great swappers out there instead!
Malin
